Energy Storage 3.6 MW/h

Energy storage to
optimize excess solar energy at a
solar power plant in Extremadura.

The project developed for a photovoltaic plant in Extremadura demonstrates how modular container integration accelerates the energy transition and improves the profitability of renewable assets. Through a containerized energy storage solution, the system allows for the capture of solar surpluses generated during peak hours and their reuse when demand or the electricity market requires it.

The container integration brings together batteries, power electronics, control systems, climate control, safety, and advanced monitoring into a single Plug&Play unit ready for deployment. This industrialized approach reduces installation times, simplifies civil works, and facilitates future capacity expansions. The solution increases the solar plant’s operational flexibility, improves energy management, and reinforces grid stability, turning surplus energy into a strategic resource to maximize the economic performance and sustainability of the renewable project.

Optimized solar energy

The containerized system allows for the storage of surplus energy produced by the photovoltaic plant during hours of peak radiation. This energy is later released at times of higher energy value or operational need, improving solar utilization and increasing the overall efficiency of the renewable installation.

Rapid modular integration

The solution is delivered in an industrial container format with equipment already integrated and factory-tested. Batteries, inverters, protections, and controls coexist in a compact architecture that reduces implementation lead times, minimizes field work, and accelerates the commissioning of the energy system.

Flexibility for
the network

Energy storage provides responsiveness to variations in generation and demand, favoring more stable plant operation. In addition to optimizing self-consumption and grid injection, the system improves the manageability of the renewable asset and prepares the installation for future, more dynamic energy scenarios.
